Job Overview:
We’re hiring an Industrial Parts Technician (Entry Level) to join a trusted industrial maintenance team that services and rebuilds specialized rolls, including suction rolls, spreader rolls, and other high-performance components. This is an excellent opportunity for someone mechanically inclined who is looking to start a long-term career in the skilled trades. You’ll receive hands-on training, exposure to advanced mechanical processes, and access to full benefits upon permanent hire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and prepare mechanical components such as bearings, O-rings, gears, and related parts using tools, solvents, and equipment.
- Perform sandblasting and repainting to restore components to operational standards.
- Assist with mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and part assembly under supervision.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment, including general painting and equipment upkeep.
- Operate cleaning tools, mechanical tools, and adhere strictly to safety protocols.
- Support the movement of materials, parts, and finished goods within the shop.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude and a strong interest in working with tools and equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Dependable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented
Shifts & Schedule:
- Training: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Post-Training: Must be available for 2nd Shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM) or 3rd Shift (10:00 PM – 5:00 AM)
- Full-time with occasional flexibility for shift changes
- Overtime opportunities available
